Reflection Post

Last year was a different experience than previous years studying media studies. Especially coursework wise. I got a chance to learn about the film industry and the creative process movies go through. Personally, I enjoyed this project so much, as I developed so any new skills that I could have never learnt in any other subject. I very much enjoyed story drafting and imagining the movie in my head, but especially bringing it to life. Filming was definitely a difficulty as I went out of my comfort zone by filing outside os my city, having to travel with my small crew and actors to a completely different location under a very limited amount of time. This helped me organise and plan much better before hand, and I learned a lot about directing and taking the lead on things, something I could have never done if I hadn't worked independently. Editing wise was another challenge I faced. I had to learn how to use the very much complicated Premiere pro. My drafts kept deleting, my editing skills evolving and my head hurting. However to be honest it was all worth the sweat and tears in the end. I was extremely happy with the finished product and the way my blog reflected the six month journey. For this year's project, I will definitely begin to plan a little earlier in order to stay on task with everything, even if Miss keeps saying to not get ahead of ourselves; I'M TOO EXCITED!!!
