Production of digipack

DESIGNING THE DIGIPACK

We have been working on the design of the digipack. Since Irina is more artsy and has better drawing skills, she drew it electronically using her tactile screen, while I came up with the concept and design of it. We both pitched in in terms of the colour scheme and since we have not been able to meet up nor film with our main character yet due to COVID, we have been testing out a few different designs. Here are two examples:

Here I came up with the idea of having the two versions of the redefinition of masculinity. On the left is the more ignored or rejected side of masculinity that is now being put in the spotlight, and on the other side is the more 'manly', plain and simple version of our character. Right now they are just drawings however our plan is to have them be actual pictures. In terms of colour scheme I personally am more fond of the baby blue and light pink rather than the purple one, as I think that the connotations are a bit more soft and have less of an aggressive association. In addition, we came to the conclusion that there should be a signature of our character on the cover to make it more personal and the font should resemble a hand-written writing. Our plan is to ask one of the art teachers in our creative arts department to write the font for us by hand as she does it in a very unique and artsy way.
