MAKEUP SELECTION AND LOOKS 

Makeup was an essential part of our conceptual music video. It was the branch we chose to follow in terms of the portrayal of masculinity and redefining it.  Throughout the production of our music video, we chose to build on the use of makeup to see the transition between the stereotype and the subversion (aka from no makeup, to just a few touches, to neon eye shadow). Here are some images of the two main looks we chose:

Butterflies, fragile and beautiful. The use of these was to create a look that showed the vulnerability of the character. Nevertheless, the white eye liner contradicted this idea by the sudden burst of color and highlight that contrasts the look. 

Blue eye shadow, perfect for the camera to capture, and the neon lights to match with.
